The Old Mosque was built from 1402 to 1414 by the architect Konyalı Hacı Alâaddin. The mosque, which was damaged by fire in 1749 and by the earthquake in 1752, was repaired during the reign of Mahmud I (1730-1754). After the foundation of the Republic, it was restored in 1924-34.

The Ömeriye Mosque was established on the former Church of St. Mary of an Augustinian monastery. The upper part, up to the middle of the window height, was destroyed, probably by Turkish cannonading during the siege of Nicosia in 1570. Later, the Turks completed the walls and covered the building and the vestibule with a wooden roof. The interior of the church was covered with plaster, while the exterior of the minaret was added on the north side.

Although the first mention of the Orta Cami Mosque dates back to 1674, it is believed to have been built between the late 16th and early 17th centuries. In 1736, when Bakhchisarai was captured and burned by the Russian troops of General Count Burhard Minich, the mosque was destroyed. It was restored and completed in 1737-1743 during the reign of two khan brothers: Mengli II Geray and Selyamet II Geray. In 1861, the mosque was rebuilt by the parishioners and acquired its present architectural appearance.

It is a massive stone building with strictly oriented architecture. The minaret of the mosque ends with stylized triangle instead of the usual Islamic crescent. It is probably an inverted heart as a symbol for unrequited love. According to the old tradition, due to the different religious confession, people in the town of Vidin used to have their feelings misunderstood by each other, which impeded the town's development. Among the unease, Osman Pazvantoglu had an inclusive love towards his Christian neighbors, so the moque he built was also nicknamed as the "Heart Mosque".

The Painted Mosque of Tetovo is an Ottoman mosque built in 1438, and unlike most mosques of that time, it was not financed by a local dignitary, but by two sisters of Tetovo, whose graves are in the Türbe (tomb) in the adjoining garden. It was rebuilt in 1833 by Abdurrahman Pasha. The monument owes its name to the countless painted panels that cover the facades. The panels were completely restored between 2010 and 2011.

It is a mosque in the historic neighborhood of Parruca in Shkodra. The new mosque was built in 1937 on the remains of a old mosque with no special style or any artistic ornament. It was then destroyed by the end of 1967 as a result of the communist anti-religious campaign. In 2017 the rebuilt mosque was inaugurated.
