Four free columns in the center hold a rammed drum topped with a wooden dome . The arched vestibule has a second floor for women. The minaret has a spiral brick decoration. The exterior and the interior of the mosque are richly painted with ornaments by painters from the Samokov school .

The Bazaar Mosque is an Ottoman mosque built in 1533 and 1534. It was closed by the communist government of Enver Hoxha in 1967 and its minaret collapsed. After the loss of power by the communist regime in 1991, the mosque was reopened for worship. In 1994, a balcony of the minaret, larger than that of the Ottoman period, was rebuilt.
