Aksdal church was completed in 1995 in Tysvær. The church was designed by architect Stein Jarle Helgeland.

The Akureyri church is a Lutheran church dedicated in 1940. The building was designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, the architect behind the Hallgrímskirkja.

Ål church, built in 1930, is a large and long church with a solid and high tower in the middle of the nave. The church was built according to the drawings of the architect Magnus Poulsson. It has windows on two floors. The interior has been well preserved and completed since the time of construction.

Ål Church was built in 1880 to replace the old medieval stave church in the town. Ål Church is a long wooden church with a large rectangular nave and a narrower choir, with a right end to the east and a tower to the west. In the 1950s the church was rebuilt under the direction of the architect Fredrik Konow-Lund.

The Arab Cultural Centre in Odessa, which includes the Al Salam Mosque, was inaugurated in June 2001. It was built at the expense of Syrian businessman Kivan Adnan. The design of the building was developed by the Odessa Architecture and Restoration Bureau Archproekt-MDM.

Al-Aga is considered the oldest mosque in the entire Balkan region. It was built in 1289 before the arrival of the Ottomans.

A newly constrcuted place of worship to accommodate the Muslim population in M│laga, this mosque was funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The architecture combies traditional handcrafts with modern technologies of movable modules, for example, the patio's wooden ceiling can be removed when the daytime is bright to let in natual lighting.

The Wolfsburg Islamic Cultural Centre with the Al-Salam Mosque was built between 2004 and 2006 for the Tunisian community in the city. The centrepiece of the Islamic Cultural Centre is the Al-Salam Mosque, whose square plan is 16 metres long. Above it, the mosque rises in the shape of a large cube and is covered by a dome crowned by a crescent moon.

Still retaining its original medieval murals and baptismal font, this church was built in the 12th century. It lacks a visible apse, which is the feature of Gotland churches. Certain 15th century fresco depicts a scene of Legend of St. Martin. There is also a painting by the master of the Passion.

Alaca Imaret is a 15th-century mosque founded in 1484 during the reign of Mehmed II. The place functioned as an imaret (soup kitchen), a madrasa (priestly school) and a place of prayer. It owes its name of Alaca to its coloured minaret (Alaca = coloured). In 1970, as the northern part of the portico had collapsed in the previous year, maintenance work was carried out for the first time, which was repeated in 1993-1996.
