Flesberg Stave Church is a church from the last half of the 12th century or the first half of the 13th century. Originally of the same type as the stave church of Borgund and the stave churches of Valdres, the building was modified after its reconstruction in 1735.
Lyngdal Church of 1690 was originally a long church with a rectangular nave and a narrower straight chancel to the east. In the 1730s the church was extended and the chancel and the east wall of the old nave were demolished. The nave was incorporated as the western part of a new cruciform church. A sacristy was built on the north side of the new chancel and a turret was placed over the centre of the cross plan. The interior of the 1730s renovation is well preserved and contains several pieces of 17th-century furniture.
The church of Svene is a cruciform church from 1738. It was built on the same plan and of approximately the same size as the main church and the annex church in Lyngdal.
Vatnås Church is a small cross church with a turret in the centre of the cross plan and an open annex in front of the west portal. The year of construction of the church cannot be determined exactly, as the church accounts are not preserved. Based on information from the parish priest Bernhoft in 1745 and the inscriptions on the church and its furnishings, the date of construction has been fixed at around 1660. The interior was restored in 1947-48 with much of its original furniture and appearance.
