Aya Yorgi Church is a Greek Orthodox church and Monastery from the 6th century. It is located on Büyükada island, near Istanbul, Turkey. The church was rebuilt in the 18th and 20th centuries. It has rich frescoes and iconography.
The Hemdat Israel Synagogue in Istanbul is a Sephardi synagogue built in 1899 but reconstructed in 1920. This Neo-gothic brick building is still used as a synagogue.
The Sokollu Mehmed Pasha Mosque, in the Kadırga district. It was commissioned in 1571 by Grand Vizier Sokollu Mehmed Pasha. The building was designed by the imperial architect Mimar Sinan and completed in 1572. The interior is decorated with exceptional İznik tilework and stained-glass windows.
