This originally Reformed church was built in 1711. This can still be read on the memorial stone above the entrance that the carpenter donated to the church. On both sides of this memorial stone are four coats of arms stones, and coats of arms stones are also built into the round arch above the entrance. The entire door is covered with large nails on the outside as protection against the axes of possible intruders. In 1966, the tower was renovated. In the church there is a beautiful pew (17th and 18th century) with a coat of arms supported by two unicorns on the canopy.

The church from 1933 replaced the so-called "Napoleon Church" on the Ganzenmarkt from 1809. Large hall church with tower, in expressionist forms.

Translated in English as the "Court Church" this is a church built by Emporer Ferdinand I in the 16th century as a dedication to his grandfather, Emporer Maximillian I. It houses a cenotaph dedicated to Emporer Maximillian which is surrounded by ornate statues from the German Renaissance. It also houses the tomb of Andreas Hofer, a Tyrolean hero during the Napoleonic wars.

The Court Church of St. Leodegar, usually called "Hofkirche", was built between 1633 and 1639 partly on the foundations of the Romanesque basilica which burned down in 1633. It is one of the few churches built north of the Alps during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) and one of the largest and most valuable churches of the late German Renaissance in terms of art history.

Hofskirkja Church is one of the last "turf churches" in Iceland. Built in 1884, the church is now preserved by the National Museum but is still used by parishioners for worship.

The name Höftekerk comes from the location of the church. The church is located on a homestead, a farm with a walled courtyard. The homestead was built in the 17th century by the Van Höfte family. The church was built in 1889 on the site of the old homestead.

Hogrän Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland.
