Oudelande, NL
Dutch Reformed Church. Gothic cruciform church, dating from the last quarter of the 14th century, consisting of a single-aisled 15th century nave and southern transept from around 1500. The building was restored in the 17th century. The northern transept was demolished in 1769 and the choir was closed off. Internal wooden vault, resting on arched frieze. The church building was thoroughly restored in 1962. Before the Reformation, the brick cruciform church from the end of the 14th century was dedicated to St. Eligius. The tower has an octagonal spire. Although the bells were confiscated during the Second World War, they could be recovered and restored to their former glory. The church tower was restored in the spring of 2002.
