The church hall is bright, with marbles on the ceiling and inside.

Sørbø church is a stone church from the mid 12th century. From 1308 the church was one of the royal chapels in Haakon V in Norway. Of the 14 royal chapels, only three remain. The church is poorly decorated but has exceptionally fine Romanesque masonry with regular horizontal joints and horizontal stone.
