Ulm, DE
Ulm Minster, founded in 1377, is a Gothic style church, the largest Protestant church in Germany since its conversion in 1530, towards the end of the first phase of its construction. A second phase of construction lasted from 1844 to 1890, when the 161.53 m tower was completed, making Ulm Minster the highest church in the world. Fortunately, the cathedral survived the two world wars almost intact.

The Ulnes church is a medieval stone church with a rectangular nave and narrower, lower choirs. On the ridge above the nave is a square turret with a spire. The church was probably built in the 13th century. After falling into disuse, it was rebuilt with a slightly larger nave in 1735. In the 1890s a porch was built in front of the entrance to the west and the sacristy to the east of the chancel, but these parts were renewed in the 1950s.
Ulstein, NO
The church in Ulstein is an elongated octagonal church dating from 1849. The first plans for a new church in Ulstein were probably made by Christian H. Grosch in 1848. Grosch's designs used characteristic Stave church forms on an octagonal plan building. The octagonal plan form was part of a local tradition in the North West and in Sør-Trøndelag and Grosch incorporated this tradition from the proposals he received. Grosch's design was not used in the final construction. The church in Ulstein is recorded as the eighth most visited church in Norway.

The Ulvik church, inaugurated in 1859, is well preserved in its original form on the outside, except for the sacristy, which is a later construction. Inside, there is a three-part altarpiece in Gothic Revival style, a plaque commemorating Thomas Samuelsen Uro, the parish priest of Ulvik from 1652 to 1667, with his wife and eight children. The painting dates from 1650 and was painted by Elias Fiigenschaug.
