Characteristic Protestant church with a defining tower. As the second church of the Reformed Church in Rijssen, the Westerkerk was built in 1931. Churches in this style can be found throughout the Netherlands. Solid and robust. Equipped with elliptical or straight lines. The church has retained its character over the years. Only the interior was adapted to the fashion of that time in the 1970s.

On Thursday, June 29, 1978, this new church building was put into use by the Reformed Church in the Netherlands (Middelburg) , after having stayed in various halls and churches for twenty-three and a half years. After the split in 1980/1981, the majority of the congregation supported the church council, which went along with the congregations around Rev. A. Wink. One member of the church council did not agree with this majority. As a result, he laid claim to the church property. Through the intervention of the court, the congregation that wished to remain within the association was allocated the property. After the split in 1981, the non-association congregation used the church building until approximately 1984. In that year, it had to hand over the church building to the church association of the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands. This congregation bought a building on De Bree . They continued under the name Reformed Church in the Netherlands outside association. However, both congregations have been allowed to worship together in the Westerkerk since 4 October 2009. The discussions held between both church councils have led to this. It was also agreed that two church council members from the non-affiliated congregation would join the church council. The church was renovated internally in 2015.

The Westkerk was one of the four Reformed Protestant churches in Utrecht at the end of the 19th century. In 2008, the church was converted into a hostel, with its main hall now serving as the reception and restaurant.

The Amsterdam Westerkerk is a Calvinist church built between 1620 and 1631 in a Baroque style.

The Westermoskee is a Turkish mosque in the West district of Amsterdam . According to the original plan, this mosque would be part of a collaborative project between the then Amsterdam district De Baarsjes , the Turkish-Islamic organization Milli Görüş and housing corporation Het Oosten (now merged into Stadgenoot ). In addition to a mosque, the plan also included the construction of homes and commercial space.

The church of Westernijtsjerk was probably built at the end of the thirteenth century with remnants of a former estate houd: Jeppema Estate. In the fifteenth century the church was renewed and enlarged. The interior of the church is of great beauty.

The Abbey of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart or "Westmalle Abbey" is the oldest of the Trappist monasteries still in activity. It was founded in 1794 by French Cistercians fleeing the ban on monastic life in France. The priory was elevated to abbey status in the first half of the 19th century and began its brewing activities in 1836.

It has been the setting for every Coronation since 1066 and for numerous other royal occasions, including sixteen royal weddings.

The original Weteringkerk was a building built around 1800 on Derde Weteringdwarsstraat in Amsterdam. It was a theatre that, after several changes of purpose, was converted into a church building for the Free Evangelical Churches around 1870 , a denomination that had emerged from the Christian Reformed Churches.

Wettingen-Mehrerau Abbey was built in 1227 by Ulrich X, Count of Bregenz. During the Thirty Years' War, the abbey was devastated by the Swedes and was in great need of repair. In 1738 the reconstruction of the church was completed and the monastic buildings were built between 1774 and 1781. In February 1807, the church was closed and the remaining buildings were auctioned off. Between 1808 and 1809 the church was demolished.
