Roman Catholic Church from 1840-'41, consisting of a single-aisled nave, a west tower, a narrower, round-enclosed choir with a sacristy in the axis. Mechanical wrought-iron tower clock, 18th century, later equipped with electric winding.

Nice modern church with metal bell tower. Replaced a temporary building on the Bermweg. On 21 February 1960, the new parish of St. Paulus' Bekering was founded in Capelle aan den IJssel. On Sunday 5 March 1967, the first stone was laid. Parishioners could, for a fee, lay a stone in the new church. The nice thing is that the stones actually ended up in the designated places and were not removed by the builders. The new church on the Merellaan was completed at the end of 1967. The architect is DORIGO.

Built as an auxiliary church for the Roman Catholic parish in the Hoeksche Waard (the old parish church is in Oud-Beijerland). Sober modern hall church without a tower.

Imposing, robust, monumental church with a high tower (70 m, the highest church tower in Leiden). The church, as well as the directly surrounding district, with which it forms a single urban development entity, was designed by AJ Kropholler and H. van Oerle. The whole was completed in 1936. The church is the successor to the St. Petruskerk in the city centre, located near the Steenschuur. That neoclassical church was destroyed by fire in 1933. The tower of the current St. Petruskerk is also the highest tower, built to a design by architect Kropholler.

On the foundations of the predecessor of this church, which was destroyed in 1944, a church was rebuilt. The tower was rebuilt in 1955. At the entrance is a memorial stone, embedded above the old memorial stone with an inscription that translates as: 'A faith that remained unshaken has restored what was sadly lost by the violence of a cruel war'.

The St. Peter the Apostle Church is the parish church of the village of Schoondijke , which belongs to the Dutch municipality of Sluis , and is located at Prinses Beatrixstraat 5.

After the Second World War, the current, important modern church with a high square tower (1958-'60) was built to a design by Siebers & Van Dael, in which the choir and some pillars of the destroyed old church have been retained. The choir vault has been built lower than it was in the pre-war situation. From the parking roof above the shopping arcade, behind the church, the exterior of the old neo-Gothic choir can be seen clearly. The original rectory from 1896, also designed by N. Molenaar, located to the right of the church, is now in use as a shop. As a whole, a rare and important example of a church destroyed by war that has been rebuilt in a modern style, in which the architectural contrast between the existing old and new parts is great. The high tower plays a very important role as a defining element in the cityscape. To the left of the main entrance is a Marian chapel, in which small celebrations are regularly held. This church is listed as a Municipal Monument of the Netherlands.
