The Bokn church is a long church dating from 1847. It was built according to the model of the old church in Nærbø, based on Hans Ditlev Franciscus von Linstow's type drawings. The oldest known church on the site was a stave church. In 1686 a wooden church was built in its place, which was later replaced by the present building in 1847.

The Bold Church is a long wooden church dating from 1894. It is the third known church in the village. The first was a stave church which was probably built as a house chapel in the 13th century. It was preserved until about 1650 when it was replaced by a church, which was demolished when the present church was built.

Most of the present building of the Bologna Cathedral dates back to the 17th century, with some other parts dating back to the end of the 16th century. A cathedral already existed on the site in 1028, on the present Via Indipendenza. It was accompanied by a pre-Romanesque campanile with a circular base. This church was destroyed by fire in 1141. It was rebuilt in 1184 and dedicated to Pope Lucius III. Work on the present building began in 1605. At the request of Pope Benedict XIV, a new façade was added between 1743 and 1747 according to the plans of the architect Alfonso Torreggiani.

The Bologna Synagogue was built in 1928 and was the design of Attilio Muggia, conceived as an elegant square hall divided into three naves, with cross vaults. The walls were decorated with Art Nouveau motifs. The synagogue was destroyed in a bombing in 1943. It was rebuilt on the same site in 1954 to a design by Guido Muggia, who wanted to revisit his father's project.

Bolton Abbey was founded in 1151 by Augustinians. At the beginning of the 14th century, looting by Scotsmen seriously damaged the monastery, which was temporarily abandoned. After the dissolution of the monastery in 1170, the monastery church became a parish church. The monastic complex was finally abandoned in 1539 after Henry VIII's break with Rome. The abbey is now in ruins.

Bolzano Cathedral is based on the remains of a 4th-century Early Christian church, which was replaced by medieval churches in the 8th and 11th centuries, and by the present church in late Gothic style in 1519. Bolzano Cathedral was badly damaged by Allied bombing in 1944, and its restoration in 1948 led to the recovery of the three old churches that stood on the site.
