St. George's Church
Staro Nagorichane, MK
St. George's Church was built at the instigation of the Serbian King Stefan II Milutin (1282–1321) at the beginning of the 14th century. The church was originally part of an Orthodox monastery, probably founded by Romanos IV Diogenes (1068-1071) in 1070. The complex was restored by Stefan II Milutin in 1313, and the present church was built at that time. Its frescoes were painted between 1317 and 13181.
