Notre-Dame de Strasbourg cathedral was founded in 1015 on the remains of an old cathedral. It is today the second most visited cathedral in France, after Notre-Dame de Paris, eight and a half million tourists a year. Since 1988, it is a UNESCO heritage site. From its construction until the 19th century, the cathedral was the highest human construction in the world. The recognisable silhouette of the cathedral looms from the Strasbourg countryside and even from the other side of the Rhine, on the Baden plain.

Straumen Chapel is a long church from 1973. The building, in brick and wood, was designed by the architect Elisabet Fidjestøl.

Straumsnes church is a wooden church from 1864, designed by architect Gustav Olsen. A lightning strike on November 6, 2006 did great damage to the church. The church had to be restored and reopened at Christmas 2006.

Stridsklev Church is a "working church" consecrated in 2000. The church was designed by the architectural firm Børve og Borchsenius from Kåre Kverndokk.

Strinda Church, also known as the Church of Moholt, is a wooden church from 1900 designed by Solberg og Christensen.

Strindheim church is a brick church that was built in 1979. The architect of the church is Elisabeth Breen Fidjestøl.

The church with the ekklesionym Agia Paraskevi is located on the western edge of the original settlement area. Its date of construction is unknown. In May 2017 the church was renovated. Among other things, the grounds and interior of the church were cleaned, the roof repaired and protected against rainwater intrusion. The exterior walls were also re-plastered and cracks inside the church were repaired.

The church in Strusshamn is a brick church that was built in 1969. The first church was built in 1741 but burnt down in 1861. A new church was consecrated in 1864 but also burnt down in 1966.

Strøm Church is a large, unpainted red brick cross church, built in 1857 according to the plans of architect H.E. Schirmer. The church has a high tower in the west and the choir in the arm of the cross in the east, with a polygonal finish. The interior is well preserved, with few unusual changes and colours partly identical to the original, after the restoration of 1950-53.

Strømmen Church is a long church from 1929. The building is made of stone and was designed in the Romanesque Revival style by the architect Olav Olson. Originally, the church was to be built of wood, but the plans were changed along the way.
