The church in Borg was built between 1801 and 1803 to replace an earlier medieval church. On 20 April 1729, a violent fire destroyed Borg Church. The church was rebuilt shortly afterwards under the direction of master builder Anders Nilsson and master mason Samuel Berg, but as early as the 1770s, plans were drawn up for an extension as the church was becoming cramped for the population. In 1801, the construction of the church began with Caspar Seurling as the master builder. The medieval churches of Borgs and Löts were demolished in 1802 and 1803 respectively.

The new church of Borgund is situated south of the stave church it replaced in 1868. The architect, Christian Christie, was inspired by stave churches for the new wooden church. The new church in Borgund has a basic uniform with low side aisles in the nave and choir.

Nestled in a lush green valley, and seemingly untouched for centuries, Borgund Stave Church allows visitors to experience wonderful countryside walks with unique Norwegian architecture and history.

Borgund's church was built in the 13th century with an elongated nave and a narrower square choir. In the 17th century, the church was extended with a crossbeam to the north, and a porch on the south side of the nave with a burial chamber under the floor. In 1868-68, a new transverse arm was built to the south. In 1904 the church was burnt down and only the walls remained. The church was rebuilt using the old walls.

The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. The oldest tombstone dates to the early 20th century so it can be inferred the cemetery was founded in that era. It first appears on a Russian map of the region from the first half of the 20th century. The fence was erected by ESJF in July 2015.

The church in Borre is a stone church dating from the first half of the 12th century. The church is dedicated to St. Olav and St. Nikolaus. When the county of Jarlsberg was created in 1683, the church in Borre became the property of the count. It was not until 1900 that the church was purchased and given to the congregation. The church in Borre is a long church with a rectangular nave and a slightly narrower choir. The naves and choirs have gable roofs, and on the roof of the nave there is a turret. At the western end of the nave is a porch, at the eastern end of the chancel a sacristy. In the course of its long history, the church has undergone significant changes. In 1926-28, the church underwent extensive restoration work which still characterises the interior.

The Cathedral of Bosa is first mentioned in 1388, but it probably dates from the 12th century. The present building, however, owes much to an early 19th-century reconstruction, which was completed in 1809.

The mosque in the town of Bosanska Dubica was built at the beginning of the 17th century. It was demolished during the war in 1992 and rebuilt until 2003.

The City Mosque of Bosanska Krupa (Gradska dzamija) is the main Muslim building in the town.
