On November 2, 2002, the first pile was driven into the ground for a new church of the Apostolic Society at the Weisshorn in the young Driehoeksbos district. The design was by ir. C. Eijkelenboom. The church at Bergmanstraat 76 no longer met the requirements. It was built in 1957 by BA Schinkel and renovated and expanded in 1976 by architect TC Bos. The current church building of the Apostolic Society is much larger than the previous building, beautifully and freely situated, and architecturally recognizable as a church building.
