Nieuwleusen, NL
Church building of recent date on L-shaped plan. Neo-Gothic pulpit purchased from elsewhere. Organ from around 1904, made by J. Proper (Kampen), originating from the Old Church of Ermelo, renovated in 1994 by Pels & Van Leeuwen ('s-Hertogenbosch) and placed in Nieuwleusen-De Meele. In October 2017, a new organ for the Reformed Reformed Church 'Rehoboth' in Nieuwleusen was put into use. It was built by the Austrian company Orgelbau Kögler GmbH, located in Sankt Florian. It is the first new instrument that this company delivered within the Dutch borders. The advisor during the construction was Sietze de Vries. The instrument replaces an organ that Jan Proper built around 1904 for the Old Church in Ermelo. Expansion of the church hall in Nieuwleusen meant that the organ no longer met the requirements. From 2011 onwards, a number of organ builders and the consultant were asked to draw up plans for technical improvement of the existing organ. In addition, they provided plans for both new construction behind the existing Proper front, as well as complete new construction in the existing organ niche. The plan of the Kögler company for a completely new instrument was considered the most attractive by the client. In the autumn of 2016, the client awarded Kögler the contract for the construction of a completely new organ with 22 voices, one of which is currently reserved.
