The Church of St. Francis of Assisi was founded in the 1920s and was completed with the completion of its bell tower in October 1932. The architect of the church is Jože Plečnik, the most important modernist architect in Slovenia. The church was declared a cultural monument of local importance in 2001, and in 2009 it was proclaimed a cultural monument of national importance as part of the works of Plečnik.

The Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Hervartov is the oldest and best preserved wooden church in Slovakia. Built in the 15th century in a Gothic style, its exterior has hardly changed, however, its interior was redecorated in a Baroque style and was painted from the 17th to the 19th century.

The church of St. Fridolin was built between 1821 and 1822 according to the plans of the architect Christoph Arnold and bears a strong resemblance to the pilgrimage church of Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach, built in 1829. The exterior of the church is neo-classical, while the interior is classicistic, enriched with rococo elements.

The Church of St. Gallen stands on a site where churches have been erected since the 5th century. Mention is made of the Church of St. Gallen in 1079 when the Mehrerau Monastery was founded and we know that the church was consecrated in 1380. After a fire in 1477, the church had to be rebuilt and was consecrated again in 1480. In 1737, a reconstruction according to the plans of Franz Anton Beer was carried out with new furnishings and equipment for the church. In 1939 a restoration took place, from 1968 to 1972 on the outside and from 1973 to 1974 on the inside.

The Church of St. George is a Roman Catholic church whose years of construction are unknown, although there is evidence that the church already existed in 1782. Originally it was a cemetery chapel, but it was rebuilt in 1888 to become a church, adding a presbytery and vestibules, as well as enlarging it.
