In construction late Gothic building of which the choir closure and south wall were renewed or bricked in the second half of the 19th century. Heavy west tower with niche section in the second and third section and covered by saddle roof. The southern cartouche with coat of arms of Sminia recalls the restoration of the church in 1743. However, the roof was already renewed in 1726. In the church beautiful 17th century pulpit with rear bulkhead and sounding board. Closed baptismal gate and two covered gentlemen's pews. Communion table. Wainscoting. Two pews with baluster railing; forty pews with carved end pieces, two text boards with carved frame; Ten Commandments board with painted representation of Moses with the Tables of the Law in carved frame. Three copper crowns. Two-manual organ made in 1911 by Bakker and Timmenga instead of the Radersma organ that was moved to the Herv. Church in Metslawier. Bell tower with the sound of two bells, one by T. Both, 1590, diam. 125 cm. and one by H. Falck, 1620, diam. 115 cm. Mechanical tower clock D. Wielinga, Franeker, 1922, has been decommissioned.

Reformed Church and tower, situated on a churchyard. Simple church building from 1757 with built-in west tower. In the church 17th century pulpit, baptismal fence and four pews, one 17th century and three 18th century gravestones. Two-manual organ made in 1891 by Bakker and Timmenga. In the roof turret hangs a clock by F. Haetiser, 1546, diameter 101 cm. Mechanical tower clock G. Delouche, Paris.

Shortly after the embankment of 1364, Mastenbroek became an independent parish. At the same time, probably between 1364 and 1369, the church was built. The church was dedicated to Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Zon. The church building was repeatedly restored and renovated, for example after a fire in 1647, of which renovation one of the inscriptions at the entrance still reminds us. The choir (1531) of the late Gothic single-nave building is somewhat narrower than the nave (1647). The tower was replaced by a new one in 1845.

A single-aisled building with a five-sided closure, built in 1753, to which a northern extension, also closed on five sides, was added at the end of the 19th century. Memorial stone in the south-east facade 1753. Pulpit 17th century. Copper baptismal cymbal arm with cymbal 17th century; copper precentor's lectern 18th century. Psalm board 1769. Two-manual organ, made in 1874 by L. van Dam and Sons. This church is one of the 4 churches of the Protestant Community of Thomas, a regional community with that apostle name, consisting of Twisk, Hauwert, Midwoud and Oostwoud. The church itself is not called Thomaskerk.This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands

From 1854, designed by the City Architect of Enschede F. Doorwaart Niermans, influenced by German examples. Octogenous ground plan and central tower. One of the eight sides, slightly projecting, provided with a classicistically framed entrance section. Organ with main work and subpositive, made in 1864 by H. Honhof.

The protestant Church of Oosterhout was commissioned in 1900. The church had an old steel bell tower (or tower), which was removed. After that it took some time until a new steel bell tower was built. This church is now listed as a Municipal Monument of the Netherlands.
