IJzendoorn, NL

Historic village church with tower. The Reformed Church in IJzendoorn is one of the oldest buildings in the village. Construction began shortly after 1384 and the church has been renovated and restored several times over the centuries. The church has a single nave and a Gothic appearance. The nave and choir are covered with wooden barrel vaults. The tower is a late Gothic building, the sections of which are decorated with pointed arch niches. The church has a number of special elements, including a pulpit from the second quarter of the 17th century and a pew with a canopy and a carved alliance coat of arms from the 18th century.

Expansion 2005. The Old Reformed Church also struggles with a lack of space. Nothing changes at the front. Plans are made to build new buildings at the back, so that the current consistory can be incorporated into the church.

Reformed Church. Late Gothic village church with a single-nave, three-sided closed choir from the first half of the 15th century, covered by a barrel vault, the wall posts of which rest on sculpted corbels. Three-nave, covered by cross-ribbed vaults with sculpted corbels, pseudo-basilica nave, second half of the 15th century, on pillars. Three-sided closed, extended chapel on the east side of the southern aisle. The aisles are extended on either side of the tower. The church was clad externally in the 19th century. The inventory includes a baptismal fence, 17th century, a lectern on the pulpit, 17th century, a copper baptismal font holder, circa 1700, two psalm boards, 17th century. Late Gothic copper crown. On a gallery with Tuscan columns an organ with main work and upper work, made in 1842 by CFA Naber. In 1986 restored by the Pels and Van Leeuwen companies.

From the end of 1932 until its establishment as an independent municipality in 1946, Ochten was a department of Opheusden. In 1956, the municipality, previously also called the 'Keukenskerk', together with the mother municipality of Opheusden, left the association of Reformed congregations to join the 'withdrawn' Reformed Church in the Netherlands .

Built as a Reformed Church (Liberated) in the IJsselmonde district. Now in use (since when?) by Jehovah's Witnesses. Between 2014 and 2019, the Jehovah's Witnesses left this building. Today, the building is used as a mosque.

Reformed Church. Late Gothic church, consisting of a three-sided closed choir from around 1400, a three-sided closed southern transept from the beginning of the 15th century, a straight-closed northern transept from the middle of the 15th century; a three-aisled nave of which the three eastern bays are from the same period and of the same style as the choir, the three western bays are higher and wider, belong to a new building plan from the end of the 15th century, as does the west tower.

This church stands on a mound. The current church originally dates from the beginning of the 15th century, but a lot was demolished and added. For example, the tower was added in 1630, and the choir was demolished in 1768.

Building from 1696, later plastered with wooden tower on the west facade. Internally two rows of Ionic columns, wooden mirror vault. Oak pulpit, oak baptismal fence, two pews with canopy. Two copper lecterns, copper baptismal font holder, all last quarter 17th century; 17th century copper crown; tombstones. Small mechanical tower clock, 1872 (probably a Batstra clock), hook escapement with striking mechanism, electric winding. Three dials, each with one beautifully shaped hand.
