Dutch Reformed Church. Late Gothic village church with single-aisled nave and deep, three-sided closed choir. Heavy brick tower on the west side, decorated by series of narrow, blind niches and crowned by an eight-sided, constricted spire.

Dutch Reformed Church. Rectangular hall church with wooden barrel vault and tie beams, lit by round arch windows, 18th century. Simple tower with constricted spire, probably from 1721. The inventory includes: a pulpit in Louis XVI forms with a copper lectern and baptismal fence holder. A baptismal fence with a copper baptismal arch from the same period and a precentor's lectern. Four simple benches, two of which with a canopy, 18th century. Three copper crowns, 18th century. Some tombstones from the 16th and 17th centuries. Single manual organ, made in 1809 by PJ Geerkens. Restored in 1982 by Leeflang Orgelbouw. Bell frame with bell by P. Waghevens, 1503, diam. 82 cm and a bell by an anonymous founder, 14th or 15th century, diam. 60.5 cm.
Opperdoes, NL
The Dorpskerk is a one-nave, five-sided closed building with a tower, situated on a slightly raised churchyard. Pulpit from 1688 with non-belonging but dating from the same period rear bulkhead and sounding board; oak baptismal fence 1752; copper baptismal arch 1753, precentor's lectern 18th century, two light arms with candlestick from the 17th century, two wall arms from the 17th century, a sixteen-armed crown with shields from the 17th century. The organ made in 1874 by KP van Ingen. This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands.

Heinkenszand, NL
In the year 1406 Jan van Schengen built a chapel on his territory, which was dedicated to Saint Blasius. This facilitated local pastoral care. A pastor, Willem van Schengen, brother of the aforementioned Jan van Schengen, was attached to the chapel. On 30 December 1458 Heinkenszand became an independent parish and the Blasius chapel was elevated to parish church.
Oostkapelle, NL
traight-ended single-nave church with attached consistory and a large tower with three sections, with buttresses, a semicircular staircase tower and an octagonal spire. The tower dates from the 14th century. The originally 15th century nave was destroyed in 1572 and rebuilt in 1585. The remains of the choir were demolished in 1610. The church was renovated in 1822 and was given a new ceiling in 1886. Pulpit from around 1650. 17th century armorial lions on natural stone gateposts at the entrance to the church grounds. Mechanical tower clock, J. van de Kerkhof, electric winding, is out of use. This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands.
Leeuwarden, NL
The Dorpskerk Huizum (12th cent.) is the oldest monument of the city of Leeuwarden, has a very valuable interior and is now used for concerts, exhibitions, lectures etc. The great building with old graveyard, bier house etc, was never visited so often as nowadays. Location: Huizum Dorp 67, a 15 minutes walk from the Central Station through a nice 'green blew' area along the beautiful river Potmarge. The village church of Aalsmeer (Dorpskerk) is a Protestant place of worship. The building was completed in 1549 and was originally a Catholic church. It became a Protestant church in 1586. It is currently protected as a National Monument of the Netherlands.
Leeuwarden, NL
In the south of the capital of Friesland is a real village church: the John the Baptist Church of Huizum. The church has been owned by the Alde Fryske Tsjerken Foundation since 2014. The local commission organizes a range of activities.
